As an Advanced Rolfer™, my manual therapy sessions are grounded in the philosophy of Dr. Ida Rolf, as taught by the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute®. By following the traditional 10-series, my clients are empowered to feel more centered and comfortable in their body.
My sessions are 90 minutes and cost $150. Most of my clients pay out of pocket for my work. I am insured professionally with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada™ and a Member-in-Good-Standing with the Rolfing® Association of Canada with 16 years of private practice.
I use my hands, knuckles, elbows, and words to create change in the tissue of my clients.
I believe every person needs a team of health providers, selected by the client, and chosen for their skill to improve the quality of life of the individual.
I see myself as one of the practitioners on the team of health care providers for each of my clients.
My preference is that their Family Physician be the hub of their circle of health care and my role as structural manual therapist is to help with the neck aches / back aches / head aches / foot pain / pelvic pain / limb pain … you get the idea.
Rolfing SI is different from other mainstream manual therapies (Registered Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic) in that the focus is to disrupt large postural patterns visible while client is standing and moving in the gravitational field. As Rolfers, we exclusively focus on the fascial patterns of structure, to influence how connective tissue is wrapping and invested in the bones, muscles, vascular tissue, neural tissue, viscera, and fluid systems. By changing how the person stands in gravity, we facilitate improvement of major body segment relationships.
